Ingredients
- 2 Lbs Venison Backstrap
- 1/4 Cup Olive Oil
- 2 Tbsp Smoked Paprika
- 1 Tbsp Garlic Powder
- 1 Tbsp Onion Powder
- 1 Tbsp Brown Sugar
- 1 Tsp Ground Cumin
- 1 Tsp Salt
- 1/2 Tsp Black Pepper
- 1/2 Tsp Cayenne Pepper (Optional)
Directions
Marinade Preparation
In a bowl, combine olive oil, smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, brown sugar, ground cumin, salt, black pepper, and cayenne pepper.
Rub this mixture generously over the venison backstrap.
Cover and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, preferably overnight.
Grilling
Preheat your BBQ grill to medium-high heat. Place the marinated venison backstrap on the grill.
Cook for 4-5 Minutes on each side, turning once, until the internal temperature reaches 130°F for medium-rare.
Resting and Serving
Remove from the grill and let it rest for 5 Minutes before slicing.
Serve with your favorite sides.
