Elevate your salmon fillets with the rich, smoky aroma of cedar planks. Grilling on cedar infuses the fish with a unique flavor, creating a dish that’s both tender and flavorful.
Ingredients
- 4 Salmon Fillets (6 Oz Each)
- 2 Cedar Planks, Soaked In Water For At Least 1 Hour
- ¼ Cup Olive Oil
- 2 Tablespoons Soy Sauce
- 2 Tablespoons Dijon Mustard
- 2 Tablespoons Honey
- 1 Teaspoon Fresh Thyme, Chopped
- 1 Clove Garlic, Minced
- ½ Teaspoon Black Pepper
- Lemon Wedges (For Serving)
Directions
Marinade Preparation
- In a bowl, mix olive oil, soy sauce, Dijon mustard, honey, thyme, garlic, and black pepper.
Marinating
- Place the salmon fillets in a shallow dish and pour the marinade over them. Marinate for 20-30 Minutes.
Grilling
Preheat the grill to medium heat. Place the soaked cedar planks on the grill and close the lid.
After about 3 Minutes, when the planks start to smoke, place the salmon fillets on top. Grill for 12-15 Minutes, or until the salmon is cooked through.
Serving
- Remove from the grill and serve with lemon wedges.
Wine Pairing
Pair this cedar plank salmon with a buttery Chardonnay or a dry Rosé. The Chardonnay's creamy texture complements the rich flavors of the salmon, while the Rosé's light acidity balances the smoky, cedar-infused taste.
